Alison P. French is the director of arts marketing and audience engagement at Americans for the Arts. Her responsibilities include the programmatic development of artsmarketing.org, the annual National Arts Marketing Project Conference, regional workshops, and a year-long webinar series.
Alison is an accomplished producer of theater and dance with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment and events industries. At Blue Man Productions, she provided senior leadership to Blue Man Group's theatrical productions in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Toronto and Orlando, and guided the launch of several of the company's shows and special appearances in new markets. Previously, Alison was General Manager for the acclaimed Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. Her entry into arts management was as the Production Stage Manager for Pilobolus Dance Theatre.
She is an active member of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS where she contributes event management and talent services on a volunteer basis. Alison also serves as a Board member for Darrah Carr Dance and CorbinDances, two emerging dance companies. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
