Alice Sachs Zimet is one of the chief architects and a leading pioneer in the field of corporate sponsorship. During 20 years as Director, Worldwide Cultural Affairs at The Chase Manhattan Bank, she worked with performing and visual arts groups in 14 countries and 20 U.S. cities -- doing good, raising visibility and helping to generate over $2 billion for the bank.
Alice founded Arts + Business Partners in 1999 to consult on issues of corporate marketing and sponsorship. Her clients include nonprofits and corporations -- but she is particularly known as a dynamic and motivating speaker. Nonprofit clients range from The Actors’ Fund of America, National Dance Institute, Opera Boston, Harvard University Art Museums, Whitney Museum of American Art, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Martha Graham, Paul Taylor and Alvin Ailey dance companies. Sponsor clients include Sephora USA, Fleet Bank, U.S. Trust, Barnes & Noble, Pernod Ricard USA, U.S. Trust Company, Mizuho Bank, American Express, and Hale and Dorr Wealth Advisors. Alice is a member of the Collections Committee of the Harvard University Art Museums, the American Association of Museum’s Task Force on Corporate Giving, and the newly-formed Magnum Photos Foundation. Alice is Adjunct Professor at New York University and teaches regularly for the U.S. Department of State with recent trips to Russia, Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia.
Having read thousands of proposals and managed millions of “donor dollars”, Ms. Zimet provides a rare glimpse into the funder’s mind.
